Colorescience Sunforgettable® Total Protection® Brush-On Shield Bronze SPF 50

Apply generously and evenly in circular motions prior to sun and environmental exposure. Wear alone all over for a subtle to buildable glow and full protection. 

Or use as a highlighter by applying to high points of the face. In this case, ensure full SPF protection by using another Total Protection™ product applied all over first. 

1. OPEN: Remove brush cap, pull back the sleeve, and remove and discard the rubber band. Put cap back on.

2. ACTIVATE: With the cap still on, hold the brush with cap facing down and tap 3-5 times on a hard surface. Put some power behind those taps! Then remove the cap and run your finger through the bristles to ensure powder is flowing. Repeat tapping if needed, until you see a small puff of powder in the air when running your finger through the bristles.  

3. APPLY: Using small circular motions, sweep directly onto dry bare skin, moisturized skin, or over makeup. Apply generously across your face for at least 60 seconds while making multiple passes. Don't forget about your ears, neck and other areas! Reload more powder into bristles by giving the brush a good shake with bristles facing downwards, or recap, tap, and flick as necessary during application. If applying directly over a moisturizer, primer or liquid foundation, ensure products have fully set before applying Sunforgettable®. Reapply at least every two hours for continued protection.

What is the difference between the Glow and the Bronze?

The Brush-On Shield Glow will provide you with a soft, pearlescent glow and luminosity that will allow you to achieve a lit-from-within look. The Brush-On Shield Bronze will give you a natural sun-kissed bronze and all-over warmth to give your look a bronzed radiance on-the-go.

Are Sunforgettable® Brushes suitable for dry or aging skin?

Our Sunforgettable® Brushes contain sodium hyaluronate (HA), a powerful humectant naturally occurring in plants and the human body which helps to restore and reinforce moisture in the skin and defend against the signs of aging. We love how unique it is for a loose powder formula to have moisturizing benefits in addition to the SPF protection! For dry or mature skin craving even more hydration, we recommend applying over your favorite moisturizer or one of our other liquid SPF facial products and finishing with our Hydrating Mist to deliver and lock in moisture throughout the day. This will also help provide a dewy, healthy glow for these drier skin types.

Should I apply these before or after my makeup routine?

These products can be applied after your makeup routine, or in place of the makeup products used to highlight or contour, as they are designed to enhance skin for a complete look with unmatched sun and environmental protection. If you choose to use them to highlight and/or contour, be sure to layer with another Total Protection™ product applied full-face to achieve a customized and fully protected look.

How do the Total Protection™ Brush-on Shield Glow and Bronze compare to the Total Protection™ Face Shield Glow and Bronze?

Face Shields Glow and Bronze SPF 50 are liquid formulations. These offer more intense radiance without the shimmer , and leave skin with a dewy finish. The Brush-on Shields SPF 50 in Glow and Bronze are powder formulations which offer a convenient, on-the go application of both SPF and the radiance. While you may notice shimmer particles in the Brush-on Shields, these provide a more subtle, buildable luminosity than their Face Shield counterparts and leave a silky finish.

What is the difference between UVA and UVB damage?

UVB exposure causes redness or burning, while UVA exposure causes skin darkening/pigmentation. Protection from both UVA and UVB means this product provides Broad Spectrum protection. Our brush is coated with a proprietary wash comprised of surfactants and a well-known non-toxic, and paraben-free preservative that has been shown to inhibit the growth of bacteria and fungus to keep the brush fresh.
